One of the first gluten free snacks I discovered just after my diagnosis with celiac disease was gluten free rice crackers. Keep in mind that rice crackers can be dangerous territory for people on a gluten free diet, because rice crackers made in an Asian style, or imported from Asia, are often flavored with soy sauce. As you must already know by now, soy sauce usually contains wheat.
There are many varieties of gluten free rice crackers available. We like the very thin, delicate ones. These are great for use with dips like salsa or hummus. Sometimes we take them on trips and have often eaten gf rice crackers on an airplane.
